Brown's Canyon Super Deluxe Full Day Information

The Brown's Canyon Super Deluxe is our most popular rafting adventure. This trip is perfect for first time rafters, families, large groups and anyone who wishes to experience a great day of Colorado summer fun. This full day of rafting includes 13 class III to IV rapids. You will experience rapids such as Canyon Doors, Pinball, Zoom Flume, Widow Maker, the Staircase, and the infamous Seidel's Suckhole. We leave enough time for a jump off "jump rock" into the refreshing waters of the Arkansas. Your group will travel 22 miles on the Arkansas River through the beautiful and most popular section of whitewater in the United States: Brown's Canyon. The Brown's Canyon Super Deluxe also includes our famous Buffalo Joe's Steak Lunch, complete with grilled corn on the cob, fresh garden salad, USDA approved top sirloin steak and dessert (vegetarian and chicken entrees available upon request). This trip, offered May through September, is the perfect blend of exciting rapids and beautiful wilderness scenery. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your trip's departure. Guests may choose between a paddle boat (you paddle, the guide steers) or an oar boat (the guide does all of the work so you can relax, hold on, and enjoy the ride).

Brown's Canyon Half Day Trip Information

The Brown's Canyon Half Day Trip explores the most popular section of whitewater in the United States! Begin your day with check-ins at our office in downtown Buena Vista. Then you will raft below the summits of five +14,000 foot peaks! The spectacular whitewater and beautiful scenery in Brown's Canyon is the perfect combination for an exciting and memorable trip. Brown's Canyon is packed with seven class III-IV rapids including the famous Zoom Flume rapid where your picture is taken by a professional photographer as you navigate the rapid. The pictures are available in our office at the end of the trip as a great memento! This raft trip is perfect for first time rafters, families, large groups, groups on a budget and anyone who wishes to spend either a morning or afternoon on the river. Don't be surprised if this rafting trip turns out to be the highlight of your summer vacation!

Four Corners Family Float Trip

This trip is intended for families with small children, going through a section of the river called the Milk Run, consisting of Class I and II rapids. The children that can participate in this trip must be at least 3 years old and 30 pounds. For the family float, you will start off in Johnsons Village, at the Wilderness Aware put in, and float down the Arkansas River until you take out for lunch. The guide will make you and your group a lunch that you can enjoy alongside the river for a nice little break. After lunch, you will get back on the river and travel for a few more miles, until you take out at our McMurry's take-out spot, near Nathrop, Colorado. There, we will have a bus waiting, and you will be shuttled back to our office in Buena Vista. During the float you will be able to enjoy the scenery around you, while being able to be on the boat with your youngsters.
