Colorado Family Rafting Trips

Browns Canyon (Moderate, Class III)

This Arkansas River family-class whitewater trip is one of the most popular and exciting in Colorado! On our Half Day trip, you will encounter seven major rapids and breathtaking views of one of Colorado's most beautiful areas. Enjoy spectacular vistas of Chaffee County's famous 14,000 ft. Collegiate Peaks and the possibility of spotting deer, bighorn sheep, and native water fowl. Let our experienced guides take you through the narrow reaches of this secluded granite-walled canyon. You will assist in navigating boulder-strewn waters, calm pools and heart-pounding rapids. The full-day trip includes several more miles of additional Class III whitewater and a delicious riverside lunch.  Suggested minimum age for Browns Canyon is 8 years old, depending on water levels. Please call prior to booking if you are unsure of your child's eligibility for rafting. Thank you!

Paddle -n- Saddle Full Day Adventure (Moderate, Class III)

Enjoy a two hour guided horseback ride at the foot of the Collegiate Peaks Mountains only minutes from our office, followed by a delicious lunch served at our river office.  After lunch we depart for an exciting 12 mile long Browns Canyon whitewater raft trip.  Suggested minimum age is 8 years old, depending on water levels.  

Departs daily from our office at 9:30 a.m.  $99/adults, $89/children 12 and under.

Raft-n-Rail (Moderate to advanced, Class III)

This exclusive trip is fun for the entire family! It consists of a white water rafting trip down Bighorn Sheep Canyon of the Arkansas River and a train ride aboard the Historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad through the scenic Royal Gorge. Your raft trip is followed by a delicious lunch served on the banks of the river at our private landing. The Raft-n-Rail package is an exclusive trip only offered through the partnership of Echo Canyon and the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Lower Canyon trips depart from our Echo Canyon office. Bighorn Sheep Canyon (Moderate, Class III)

Bighorn Sheep Canyon offers just the right blend of mild to moderate excitement with miles of scenic beauty. As the name implies, Bighorn Sheep populate this area extensively and are often spotted grazing the rocky hillsides along the river. All trips check in 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Be sure to check out our exclusive Raft-n-Rail package for a truly unique day along the historic Arkansas River corridor. Lower Canyon trips depart from our Echo Canyon office.
