Directions
From Colorado Springs: Take US Hwy 24 west to US Hwy. 285 South. Turn left on Hwy 285/24 to Johnson Village. Pass through Johnson Village and turn left at the T junction, continuing South on Hwy 285 another 5.3 miles to Nathrop. *See: "Once you get to Nathrop" below (approx. 2 hrs.)
From Denver: Take C-470 to Hwy 285. Proceed south about 2 hours until you cross the Arkansas River at Johnson Village. Pass through Johnson Village and turn Left at the T junction, continuing South on Hwy 285 another 5.3 miles to Nathrop. *See: "Once you get to Nathrop" below (approx. 2 ½ hours)
From Aspen: Take CO 82 East over Independence Pass, turn right (south) on US Hwy 24 East to Buena Vista. Just past Buena Vista, Hwy 24 will turn off to the left, but continue straight onto US Hwy 285 South another 5.3 miles to Nathrop. *See: "Once you get to Nathrop" below (approx. 1 ½ hours).
From Vail and Summit County: Take I-70 to Copper Mountain (exit 195). Turn south on CO Hwy 91 to Leadville. Continue straight through Leadville onto US Hwy 24 East, (heading south) to Buena Vista. Just past Buena Vista, Hwy 24 will turn off to the left, but continue straight onto US Hwy 285 South another 5.3 miles to Nathrop. *See: "Once you get to Nathrop" below (approx. 1 ½ to 2 hours)
From the south: From US Hwy 50, turn north on US Hwy 285 to Nathrop. Turn right (east) on CR 197 (look for the sign for the Chalk Creek Campground) and then turn left again at the old schoolhouse.
*Once you get to Nathrop: Look for our sign on the left that reads "Four Corners Rafting, You Can Raft Today!". Just past our sign turn left (east) on CR 197 (look for the sign for the Chalk Creek Campground) and then turn left again at the old schoolhouse to bring you into our parking lot.
Please note that check-in is 45 minutes before your scheduled whitewater departure and all rafting trips leave on time. The central Colorado map provided is not to scale and for reference only. There is no substitute for an official State of Colorado highway map.
